We used to switch on the TV and wait for the tube to warm up. Now we turn it on and wait for the firmware to load! Good design matters.

A classic user experience problem: the wait. In the past, TVs needed time for their tubes to heat up. Today, our smart TVs need time for their OS to boot. It’s a perfect example of how incredible new technology can still be held back by poor implementation.
